Have a Very Happy Holiday!
So, today’s Christmas Eve, and I’m cleaning in preparation for tomorrow. The in-laws will be over, and I always cook a big dinner for Christmas. It’s a big change for me from thinking about marketing, managing the ListBuilding Club, on-page and off-page optimization, what’s new, and what I’ve missed and need to catch up with…
That’s it! I’m going back to my feminine roots. (At least until Monday.)
I haven’t done that for a couple of years now, since my husband retired. He didn’t do it voluntarily. He was in the car business for more than 30 years and all of a sudden, the doors closed. The business dried up, there were no jobs for a guy over 50, and luckily, I had started this Internet marketing thing and was working for Tellman.
Since that time, my honey’s been doing the hard stuff — the household chores, the errands, the taking the kid to school thang. And God bless him, I could never have put as much time and concentration into my work as I can without having to worry about everything else, too.
I did that for 18 years, while I was being a writer. But writing is much more laid back, and I had much more time to do it all. But my life is far different since I got caught up in this crazy world of IM. I totally love it.
So… This Christmas, I’m grateful for having married a really great guy some 36 years ago.
And I’m grateful for you, my readers. Without you, I’m just here typing into a blank space, hoping that someone stops by and says, “Hey! This stuff is pretty cool.” I’m glad you think that the stuff I bring to you is worth your time.
And if you’re on my list, if you’re my customer, or if our paths have crossed in the ListBuilding Club, I want to thank you for being a very cool part of my life. I care about you. I want you to prosper! 2009 has been the best year I’ve had online thus far, and I remember how hard it was to get things going. If you’re still struggling, remember that you cannot get rich overnight. You need to work at it, and it will happen.
That’s the deal.
You HAVE to do something. If you do nothing, nothing happens.
Big hugs, and look out! 2010 is going to be a REALLY big year online and I plan to make it another “best” year. How about you?
