I personally think that theme is a personal preference and should reflect YOUR personality! But on same not - I do come from a background of being a webmaster for years, before I ever became blogger and to me look and feel of any site or blog should still provide a few simple requirements:

* Ease of navigation
* Easy of reading (accessibility)
* Intuitive layout 

Everything else, like SEO, speed and quality of coding behind the theme is secondary and although very important in my opinion - can be easily moded by the owner - you :D so, to make long story short - you like it? Make It Yours!
