Have you ever heard of Flock? it's made by the same company but literally made for blogging and most things are compatible without plug-ins

Thanks for the great critique of Firefox 3.0! I LOVE Firefox (never going back to IE, so THERE :-P), but I would hate to lose any of my add-ons. Is there a site that tells you which addo-ons will still work with 3.0? I like the idea of 'Speed Dial' since there are sites I visit every day, and pulling them out of the bookmarks drop-down is a pain in the derriere. But I'm not much of an early adopter, I think I will give 3.0 a pass for a few months and let other people find out all the quirks. ;-)

I have yet to download Firefox 3.0 because I always forget to! After reading your blog I am going to download it right now. I can't believe I have been in the dark and missing all of these cool features. I can't wait to use Speed Dial!

Allen,

Yeah. It's hard to make tabs behave, unless... You have Tab Mix Plus. You need version 0.3.6.1.010486 for Firefox 3.0. I love it! Makes your tabs behave.

I have just started using Firefox 3.0 and I have to agree about the tabs. My problem is that It will only open a new tab sometimes. I'm not sure what I am doing but it's driving me crazy. Oh well, I guess it's time to read the documentation.

I've just recently started using firefox and really like it a lot. I guess it's already time to upgrade. Thanks for the info, helps us technically challenged. I am going to have to take some time to figure it all out to get it's full benefit.

I also use firefox and really like it. The only thing that I do not like is that it has a tendency to crash on occasion, but I guess that is par for the course. Plus, I like that it is not owned by microsoft...LOL!

That's the thing about upgrading to the next version of Firefox. There's always that period of a few weeks where half my add-ons don't work and I'm an add-on junkie. I should have definitely waited to upgrade. Now my flash is messed up to and refuses to play sounds in Firefox. Hurray for compatibility problems! Now Mozilla should really get to addressing that.

I just started using the Firefox 3 this week as well. So far, it has worked okay but I agree that the whole system of tabs needs improvement. Minor point but I am so happy they moved the refresh button to the left side. I always naturally went there to refresh and did not like it on the right (I guess from being so used to the old Internet Explorer). All my addons have been working fine with the exception of one that I updated recently is not updated on Firefox 3.
