Bud URL

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

So, I’m on Twitter a lot, right? I got my grade up to like 93 and I have almost 500 followers. That’s not a lot. I look at some of these people with thousands following them, and it’s like, OK… Still growing, but that’s not why I’m writing this post.

Did you ever notice how Twitter shortens some URLs to TinyURLs? That’s cool. I’ve used that site a lot over the years. It really makes ugly links look a tad better.

But I’ve been noticing that the links are sometimes http://budurl.whatever, right? And I figured that Twitter maybe changed over to BudURL. And curious me (because I’d never heard of BudURL before), I had to go there.

Well…

No wonder people ar using it! BudURL tracks your click throughs! So, like you can put a URL for your blog posts or whatever you Twitter about and bam! Change the URL to a BudURL, and you’re tracking Twitter traffic.

Check it out at: http://BudURL.com

Free to join, too. Pretty sweet!

BudURL looks totally awesome. Like tinyURL on steroids, will definitely be using them now. Love the various tracking/ analytics features they offer and looks like they plan on adding a bunch more in the near future. Thanks for doing a little digging and finding this pretty convenient service for us.

    Hi Pat,

Glad to see you post about this. I heard about it on Jack Humphrey’s FTR a couple of weeks ago and just tried it out. If it’s as cool as it sounds it will be tremendous. And it’s free! I love stuff that’s free and easy — right up my alley.

Thanks for your always timely tips.
