I have to agree. When I see those generic "Interesting Post" and similar comments on my blog I generally classify them as spam, maybe even posted by robots. Comments from people who are sincerely interested will contain something relevant that indicates they actually read the post.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('891','Westy','I have to agree.
I find it very interesting and even laughable that everyone says that PR doesn't matter to them ... but then they talk about it all the time. Makes you go hmmm ...

Interesting Post!

Sorry, I just had to. More seriously, your comment on Page Rank is probably true, although I go back and forth on the concept. There is certainly some value in the number for the Amazon's of the world, but for most pages, I agree that it is just kind of irrelevant.
Reply - <a href="#" class="quote" onclick="quote('886','Jerry','Interesting Post!\r\n\r\nSorry, I just had to.
Hi Pat,

I couldn't agree more. Being fairly new at this, I always get happy when I see a comment on my blog. Until I see something like "interesting post" -- and know they didn't even read my post.

I guess for SEO purposes, it doesn't matter what your comment is. But you're saying if you don't approve the comment they don't get the SEO benefit I'm assuming. I like the way you think! Only reward those who take the time to add value to your blog.

Thanks for another informative post.
