Pierce Postponed

Well… all good plans and such…

Tonight was to be my big call with Stephen Pierce… the one I’ve been looking forward to for months. But, fate intervened.

Something important came up.

The woman I work with in his office decided to have a baby. Well, the baby decided to be born, which is great! All my best goes out to her and her child.

However, the call tonight has to be postponed until another time.

Bummer.

But a big yay on the baby front!

I’ll keep you posted on the new date and time.

In today’s dtAlpha Talkback, he has an actual recording of Napoleon Hill, talking about the principle of… Well, you’ll just have to go and check it out here: http://www.dtalpha.com/talkback/?p=64

Ted Demop Rules!

Wow! Had one of the best calls on blogging in the series last night. People who are hardcore bloggers know who he is, but new people and people who have only started learning about the blogosphere probably haven’t heard the name “Ted Demopolous,” though he’s a long-time Netizen and well-respected consultant. He’s also written a couple of books on blogging, which is how I came to contact and meet him.

Anyway…

Ted was my special guest last night on the Blogging4Boomers.com teleseminar series and he gave an incredible amount of information to my members. He talked about positioning, writing content, social interaction and a whole lot more.

One thing that I found most interesting, and what not many people who blog for business remember is that you shouldn’t be selling from your blog. The way Ted put it, “I don’t make money from my blog. I make money because of my blog.” The idea being that when you write great content, people see you as the expert and they follow you and buy your products. But your blog can also get you offers — for consulting, for joint venturing, and so on. People “know” you by the way you write.

Very cool. And very true.

If you want to get in on the replay of Ted’s call, just go to Blogging4Boomers.com and sign up for the series. There is a replay page, but only for list members. Ted also gave a pretty sweet bonus.

I’ll be putting the call up this weekend. Sign up now so you’ll be able to check it out.

The Aftermath

Whoa…

Sorry I’ve been so behind on letting you in on the results of that product that me and 71 other Internet marketers did at the JVAlertLive seminar in Orlando, FL. It rocked!

I never had so much fun creating a product, which is usually like bleeding from the soul. There’s so much planning and preparation and build up and usually by the time the product is finished, you’re exhausted and too emotionally beat up to sell it. But you do, anyway. :-)

But this was a trip. We all had to write one great tip about joint venturing, a testimonial for the product, and provide a bonus. People like Eric Stafford (The Faster Webmaster), Ross Goldberg, Stuart Tan, Paul Easton, Cindy Parker, Mike Paetzold, Steve Roye, Andy Duncan, and on and on where there, too, so there were some pretty awesome tips. So, what resulted was a really cool book about JVs and about $5,000 in products. Joel Comm got on the video, while suffering from the flu, made a video headline for the page, and we were off and running.

Joel actually left early, which was a bummer. I really wanted to meet him and thank him for some stuff he sent me last year via Tellman, but he got sick, and so Eric Holmlund and Dan Nickerson led us through this exercise, and we were all scurrying to get stuff typed and emailed to Eric so he could create the .pdf and it was inSANE!!!

The copywriting team came up with a killer headline. I typed like the wind with about 7 other typists (well, Paul Easton had to read the testimonials to me, LOL), and we all had a great time. We even made money! And to think this happened in just 90 minutes. Very cool

But that wasn’t the coolest thing about JVAlertLive. There were at least 10 cool things and people: Ken McArthur, of course, is a gracious and wonderful host and he attfacted presenters like Dave Lakhani, Brandon Bouchard, Christine Comaford-Lynch, Kevin Nations, and Jermaine Griggs. I know I missed someone. Oh, yeah… Jaime Luchuck and the other cast members from The Next Internet Millionaire. Good people.

Christine is going to be part of my teleseminar series, which is awesome! I’m very excited because she’s just awesome. I hope you’ll register for the calls at Blogging4Boomers.com . You don’t have to be a Boomer. I am, and just thought it was a cool domain so I bought it. But what I’d like to do is to help Baby Boomers (like me) create their retirement from online income. (A lot of us are worried about that.)

The site’s doing great, actually. Lots of people are coming in every day. We’ve had about 2,000 people register in just the first couple of days, and thre will only be phone lines for 200, though you can attend on the Web.

But, if you want to be on the first call–register. It will be Tuesday evening (Feb. 19th) and with Mike Paetzold, an old friend (whom I just met at the seminar, after 4 years of knowing him), who will teach you tons of stuff about having a WordPress blog. He’s just awesome and I know you’ll learn a LOT.

I’m really looking forward to having you on the calls.

Blogging Teleseminar Series Kicks Off Soon

I have a good reason for not posting for such a long time. It’s not like me, huh?

Well…

I have a new website that’s ready for business called Blogging4BoomersinBusiness.com and I’m launching it with a dynamite teleseminar series with folks like Tellman Knudson, Mike Morgan, Ken McArthur, Brian Edomondson, Stephen Pierce, Mike Paetzold, Ted Demopolous, Reed Floren, Andy Duncan, and a suprise interview that will knock your socks off!

I don’t think that a series has ever been done like this before. If you want to sign up, just go to http://easyseotricks.com/pat and claim a ticket.

You’ll be very glad you did.

Calls start with Mike Paetzold on February 19 at 8 p.m. EST.

Mike is one of the foremost authorities on all things WordPress. I’m pretty smart, but Mike is da man when it comes to figuring out the tech end of things. Plus, he’s a really fun and smart guy to have on the first call. I’m really looking foward to it. Mike & I have been friends for years and I’m truly honored to have him participating.
So, don’t wait. Go to http://easyseotricks.com/pat and get on board!
