I’ve been at this business for almost 6 years now, and have accumulated a ton of useful knowledge. I’m grateful for that, and just absolutely LOVE learning stuff — new stuff all the time. And I’m very lucky because working for Overcome Everything gets me lots of cool info that I couldn’t afford myself. It’s really a super perk of the job.

So, with all this stuff in my brain, I’m asked to do teleseminars often.  I love that! Teleseminars are absolutely the best way to get people interested in who you are and what you know that can help them to move their businesses forward. You gain their respect, trust, and because of those things, you make money. People buy from people they know and trust.

The best of all situations, of course, if having your own teleseminar series. Here’s a link for you: http://easyseotricks.com/13th . I can attest to the fact that this system works, and that it gives you a MUCH bigger list than the one you have now.

The thing is that you can’t be shy. Shy will NOT work in business. So, get over yourself, right now! Anyone can use the strategies that the link above gives you… anyone.

So, last night, I did a teleseminar with someone who started out as a customer of mine and Telman’s and he quickly became a friend. His name is Rick Burdo, and he’s a disabled Veteran. He can’t even type because of his disability, and so does all of his pages with voice recognition software. It’s amazing! He’s really struggled through a LOT to put his whole system together, and now, he’s actually doing it.

What’s your hurdle?

You don’t have to know everything about your topic. All you have to do is assemble a group of experts who do. Then, you interview them. Simple, right? It’s not that tough getting experts in your niche, either, because they want to sell their stuff to your list and get all the cool respect, trust, etc. from new people that they’ve not met before.

Then, when you put all of the interviews together, you have a product, and… it’s a great product because of all the information that the experts have put forth. It has nothing to do with you or your expertise! It’s how Tellman built a multi-million dollar busines and then, he was able to hire me and 14 other folks! So, now, how enticing are teleseminars, huh?

I’m telling you… they’re the BOMB!

Want to know the particulars? Check this out: http://easyseotricks.com/13th Believe me… it’s amazing what one simple teleseminar series can do for your business and your wallet. Amazing.

Something that comes up time and again in calls, in email, on the phone with clients is that they can’t get started because there’s so much stuff coming at them all the time from people whose lists they’ve joined. They’re overwhelmed and unhappy and why aren’t they making all the big bucks they’ve been promised?

OK… I get that. I’ve been in this game for almost 6 years now, and I felt the same way at the beginning when I was a newbie. But I wanted to learn. I wanted to be the smartest and best damned Internet marketer on the planet, and I wanted to make all that money and have that Ferrari – Beachside – Buy Anything You Want, Anytime lifestyle, too. It was all so much fun and I figured it would all just gel in my brain one day.

And it did.

But though I knew a LOT of stuff (and still do, BTW), want to know how much good it did me?

NONE!

I was trying this and that. I had four blogs going. I was driving traffic ineffectively, and though I knew a ton of stuff, I wasn’t making ANY money! It was frustrating and time consuming and I couldn’t look away for an instant because well… I was sure that I would get the big break any second, and I really needed the extra money, and well… it just never happened.

In my case, I was lucky. Tellman happened, and my IM life was transformed.

Want to know how?… Come back on Monday and I’ll tell ya.

But, only if I get at least 10 good comments. (No “nice post” comments will do. Tell me your thoughts or what you’re feeling about all this right now!) Make a comment and the secret will be revealed. Otherwise…  Hmm… I guess you’ll just have to keep being overwhelmed.

I’m so excited to have a friend of mine take the time to make a great video for my blog. His name is Wayne Sharer, and he’s done a great job of explaining the basics of keyword research, and I know that if you’re just starting out and aren’t sure of the process… Wayne will clear things up for you, so pay attention! :-)

Learn something? Well… I hope you have and that you’ll visit Wayne at http://YourTrafficStarterBlog.com. He’s got some great traffic videos for you there, and I know they’ll be helpful, especially if you’re just starting out.

I’ll be back atcha with another post on Wednesday. I’m actually on my way to New York City today. You see, Overcome Everything is nominated as one of the fastest growing companies in the country for the American Business Awards. I’m really excited because I was lucky enough to get to write the entry that landed us the nomination.

So, Tellman is taking a bunch of us to the dinner and the ceremony. Pretty cool. Wish us luck! That would be one of the coolest things that’s ever happened and it wouldn’t be too bad for business, either. Ha!

LBC_logoOK, so I’m the project manager for The ListBuilding Club and totally love, love, love it. And why wouldn’t I? I’ve helped create it, have maintained it, and work on it 100% of my time for Overcome Everything. I’m prejudiced. But we have hundreds of people, if not thousands who would agree with me.

The site starts at the beginning with picking a niche, getting a domain name, setting up a blog and so on. I mean, it’s step-by-step video training that anyone can follow. It just rocks and we’re constantly working on what we have to offer to make it better and better. We really care that people love it and are able to use what they learn and take it to the bank.

But that’s not why I’m writing here.

I’m writing to tell you about our affiliate program. It’s awesome! I mean, where else can you get $20 – $29 a month from every customer you refer and pays for his or her membership? That keeps on coming! It’s an awesome site to promote, and something you can be proud to represent.

Want to join us?

http://EasySEOTricks.com/AA

Sell 50 memberships to the LBC and then, you can apply to be an affiliate for our high-end coaching programs that bring in MUCH bigger commissions. Show us you know your stuff and you stand to make a great deal of cash!

But here’s a cool thing:

Even if you’re new to this whole affiliate marketing environment, we’re there to help you. Every Friday, we’re putting on training teleseminars that will teach you what you need to know to promote and make money with our system. You’ll love it!

So, sign up now and be part of the team. We’re waiting to help you make the cash you need to get by in these tough times.

Oh wait???? What’s that? I mean, really. If you’re a good affiliate marketer, there is no recession. It’s awesome!

Wow! Amazing the things you find when you go looking for them.

Andy Bland did a pretty sweet review of my new SEO product “Spider Language” at http://r.ecommended.com/product/10193/spider-language

Thanks, Andy!

Only problem… your price is right, but only for 1 month. It’s introduced to you at $4.95, but to continue monthly lessons it’s $47 a month.

Otherwise, thanks for the 4 stars. What could have made it a 5-Star product for you? Just wondering. Always looking to make things better.

We’re working behind the scenes to improve some things at Spider Language, so sign up now while the first month is so inexpensive. You’ll be glad you did!

What’s Spider Language?
icon1 Pat Marcello | icon2 SEO Information | icon4 04 14th, 2009| icon3No Comments »

You may have been distraught to notice that I haven’t been as regular with posting for the past couple of weeks as I normally am. Or… You didn’t notice a hoot. Whichever is perfectly OK.

But…

The reason that I haven’t been as consistent as usual is because I’ve been working on a new product! It’s called “Spider Language,” and Tellman Knudson is my partner, mentor, boss, and really good friend.  We actually got the product into ClickBank last week, and already we’re making sales.  I’m thrilled!

Spider Language is for folks who want to begin to learn SEO, and for some folks maybe not so new to SEO, but want to learn more. We’ll talk about everything from how search engine spiders work to site construction to linking and the whole shebang… What I call the SEO “Matrix,” which inclues blogging, article marketing, press releases, video, and more.

The course will be presented weekly in Jimmy D. Brown “Membernaire” style, which is a totally awesome model, by the way. It will include a weekly .pdf, at least one video, and a homework assignment that you’ll need to complete to move on to the next lesson. (Just so you’re getting it.) Usually, it won’t take more than an hour to complete the whole deal, so you don’t have to worry about not having the time. We’re dishing it out in small bites to make it easy to learn.

Anyone who is already SEO savvy is welcome to promote this. It’s a great money maker and steady income for you. Just search “Spider Language” in the Marketplace, under the category Business to Business.

This is gonna rock!

Want to check it out? Go to http://SpiderLanguage.com We are going to rock your SEO world and your traffic!

We’ve done it again. Well, Tellman has done it again actually, and I’m pretty excited by this new coaching program we have going — ListBuilding 411.

How’s it work?

Members are able to ask one question per day, either in writing or on video, and a member of the Overcome Everything staff responds to each question with a video answer. It’s actually an upgrade to The ListBuilding Club, so that’s also included in the price, which is really sweet.

So far, we’ve been getting rave reviews for 411. It’s really cool to be able to help all these people, too. I’m managing the program, so I see all the questions that come in and am able to assign answering to the people that make the most sense.  With 14 of us with varying levels of expertise on every topic from copywriting to tech, there’s nothing we can’t handle.

I’ve found a couple of drawbacks from a customer standpoint. Some aren’t able to get their question posed clearly enough to be understood on video or we don’t get what they’re trying to say. So, we have to go back to them and get additional information, which delays their answer, or we try to answer the question, but it’s not the answer they wanted. But everyone in the program is very nice and we love working with them. Everyone gets their issues aired and fixed in a very short time.

If you’re working in a vacuum and don’t have anyone to talk to about this Internet marketing stuff (which only we IMers understand, right?), it has to be cool to know that there are people ready and able to help. Wish I’d had that support when I was first starting out. If you’re like me, you struggle to find the right stuff to concentrate on and you spin your wheels a lot. Getting someone who knows what to do and how to help you get things going in the right direction fast has to be relieving.

Anyway, if you’re one of those folks, I’m not selling here, just writing about a cool service. Nobody else is doing this! You can check it out at http://ListBuildingClub.com/411

I just wish I’d had the LBC 5 years ago when I started this incredible journey. :-)

Writing in a Former Life
icon1 Pat Marcello | icon2 General | icon4 01 28th, 2009| icon3No Comments »

People are always asking me about my books, and since I have to come up with a video for the Overcome Everything channel each week, I decided to show folks my prior life. I did a lot of bleeding from the soul for these. You’d think that an accomplished author would be wealthy and famous…

Not

So, I came online to help sell these books, and now, look at me. Raving SEO, Internet marketing afficionado, and making more money than I ever have in my life. If I can come from an academic background (more or less, I was a banker for 20 years before writing) and be successful at this Internet marketing biz, you can, too.

‘Course, I wouldn’t have done it without Tellman. He was my mentor, which made all the difference. The cool thing is that you can have Tellman as your mentor, too. Just go over and Join The ListBuilding Club. It will set you straight down the path to IM success… I kid you not.

Anyway, check out this video and let me know what you think…

Jan 3

So, here we go…

Tellman & Shawn won a Ferrari from Eben Pagan’s Altitude JV Contest. But it lives with Shawn in Atlanta, and they’ve decided to give it away! I asked Tellman why, and he said, “Think about it, Pat. I live in Vermont!” Well, yeah. I guess there aren’t too many Ferrari’s in rural Vermont.

And Shawn, well… he’d rather get you excited about making it big online.

True.

Get into the contest and you can not just win a Ferrari, but you can be Overcome Everything’s spokesperson! How powerful is that?

And in the bargain, all you have to do is be the best at following the step-by-step instructions inside The ListBuilding Club.

Wow.

Anyone can win this, and you can get in for just $1. Yep. One, slim dollar.

http://easyseotricks.com/lbc2

Check it out. Get excited! This is going to be enormous! We’ve been working really hard to make this the coolest contest on the Web. I mean, come on. Russell gave away a Corvette. That was cool. But THIS is a Ferrari.

Even if you just sell it, you’re a huge winner.

At least check it out. Everyone will come away a winner in this one.

Dec 22

So, have you gotten IT yet?

We have been selling this program for $3,995… I kid you not.

And now, Tellman has lost it.

Totally gone bonkers.

But, he’s a pretty nice guy and decided that he wanted to do something cool for people. So, he’s just giving this whole Perpetual Marketing Machine program…

AWAY!

I still can’t believe it.

It’s not going to last much longer, though, so if you want THE definitive guide on how to make money and build a humongous list for nada, it’s time to visit http://easyseotricks.com/13th

I did this earlier this year, and it’s increased the size of my list dramatically, plus I’ve tripled my income.

What’s to lose? Get over there and grab it before it’s too late.

Dec 16

Yep, so Tellman’s gone nuts again and is giving stuff away like crazy.

Have you seen the Secret Stocking yet? Even I don’t know what’s inside entirely, but it’s good. I’m 100% sure of that.

But even if there were NOTHING inside, you’re still getting the Ultra Marketing Marathon, a $97 product as a bonus! That’s an awesome product in and of itself.

If you want to get in on this, you’d better hurry: http://easyseotricks.com/secret The price goes up every time someone buys and last I looked it was at $19.42… UNDER $20!

I don’t know about you, but I’m getting a few days off around the holidays and I plan to use it to make me smarter. This is a perfect opportunity for you to curl up with your iPod or laptop and just make your brain bigger.

Knowledge is power!

Nov 24

I have to admit that before I met Tellman Knudson, I was headed for nowhere.

Really.

I’d been online for about 3 years, trying really hard to make some kind of money. I had a couple of websites. I had a couple of products, one being totally lame-o and the other was great. Except, I had no one to sell the great one to. The bottom line was that I just didn’t know how internet marketing worked. I figured it was put a bunch of buttons and banners on your site and stick it into a traffic exchange.

Oh, yeah. That was the road to oblivion.

I really didn’t have any idea of how things needed to go down to be successful. I kept hearing that old adage, “The money’s in the list,” but did I listen?

No. I never really saw the benefit.

Well…

When Tellman found out that I wasn’t building a list…

Let’s say that I started to get serious about it about ten minutes after he found out. I finally got it. Jeez. And now that things are cranking, I’m smacking myself upside the head.

That was two + years ago, and I’ve learned SO much since that time that I’m very grateful. I knew hiring Tellman as my mentor was a good idea, but I never dreamed that I’d be working for him with all of the other amazing people at Overcome Everything.

Now, I have a list of more than 10,000 people, which isn’t huge, but it’s growing. I keep in constant contact with them, I’m making extra money every single month, and woot! I’m even winning prizes. Today, I won a Mino Flip Video Camera in the Traffic Geyser JV Contest. Not bad. I mean, I already have one, but as my friend and coworker, Mike Purvis, said, “You can never have too many.”

LOL When I grow up and am really moving, I’m looking for those Mac Book Airs, trips to Costa Rica, and big honkin’ Ferraris! :-)

But the best thing about having a big list is that I have some really cool friends that came along with it. I mean, it’s not just about the money. Helping other folks to figure out this ONE piece to the puzzle and showing them different ways to do it is really cool for me. In fact, I have a Q&A session with my cool people tonight, and I always look forward to that. I love helping them to move forward and learn what they need to make money online, too. It rocks!

So, what’s my point?

If you’re not building a HUGE, MONSTER list of people you can relate to because they’re interested in the same things as you are, you’re wasting your time. Don’t chase every new program, every new system, just get frickin’ SERIOUS about list building. That should be your #1 priority.

With a list, everything falls into place.

Nov 19

So, I installed a blog for Tellman and company a week or two ago called “Dear Tellman.” It’s pretty cool because you can go over there and ask Tellman any question you want, and every day he picks one and answers it on video.

Well… today’s was just too good not to share:

Gotta love it! Jim Morrison, one of our tech guys did all the cool backgrounds. How abou the roller coaster? That was awesome! And Torger. Is he adorable or what? I haven’t seen him for 18 months. Wow! He’s a big guy now.

Had to share. Go over to http://DearTellman.com and ask a question now! I can’t wait for the next video. :-)

Gathering CVs…
icon1 Pat Marcello | icon2 General | icon4 10 6th, 2008| icon33 Comments »

So, today is Monday, and as with every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, etc., I’m working like crazy. I totally love what I do, but our company is growing and there are tons of interesting things coming up.

Today, Tellman launched “The Tellman Show” on video, for example. (You can see it at http://www.viddler.com/explore/Tellman/videos/10/ )

He’s just incredible and has more ideas and energy than any person I’ve ever met before. I love being part of his company–Overcome Everything, where I have the awesome job of being Content Manager.

To be honest, I’ve never worked with a group of people that I respected and cared for so much. It’s very cool, and after two years, I wouldn’t trade what I do at OE for any other job.

So, here’s the thing…

I’m to the point where I need people, so I’m gathering a team.

  • I need a videographer who can make Camtasias and work with Sony Vegas, for example.
  • I need writers… People who can write articles, special reports, or whatever else that’s not copy.
  • I need graphics savvy people who can dress up a report or physical product.
  • I need people who are comfortable with fulfillment and getting all that together.

Might YOU fit the bill?

Are you looking for some extra income, albeit sporadic? This isn’t like a job, it’s like extra help when the time presents itself, like when we’re doing two launches simultaneously, or rushing to get the latest newsletter down the pipeline. I need people for when the work just gets too heavy for me & Brian to handle. Brian Edmondson does an awesome job of creating videos, but he’s only one guy, too.

So, here’s what I’d like you to do:

Post your resume online. Then, come to the blog here and post a comment, letting me know where it is. I’ll happily check it out, and if I can utilize your incredible skills, I’ll contact you. Please remember to add your email address to your CV (resume).

And… Here’s a trick so you don’t get spammed…

Make your email address an image. Use screen capture software to take a picture of your email address and make the picture clickable. The spammy robots will never know.

Anyway, if you’re interested and have the skills, let me know! I need someone who knows English very well and is pretty well versed in Internet Marketing, too. So, keep that in mind. Not every project will be about that, but when the project requires IM knowledge, it’s important that you know what we need.

Looking forward to working with some of you! It’s always a blast!

Aug 15

Wow… Where do the days go? It seems like I’ve been back to work for a month, and it’s only been five days.

Not that I don’t love every minute of what I do because it is tons of fun, but the weekends are even more fun because I get to do and investigate stuff of my own.

This weekend, I have to prepare for a call I’m doing for Erik Stafford. That will be fun. We really had a blast on the call he did for me this week. So, I’m looking forward to that. If you want to hear the replay of Erik’s call with me, just go to http://easyseotricks.com/Erik . I’ll post information about the call I’m doing for him here ASAP.

We also had a product launch at Overcome Everything this week, and unless you’ve been hiding under a rock, you know it’s Whack the Recession.  You can check that out at http://easyseotricks.com/whack Great product! Smart advice and from Tellman, Harris, and Shawn. (Who didn’t know that?) I had to get transcripts made last weekend for it, so I can tell you it’s A-#1, the Duke. If you’re struggling to make money online, you really need to check it out.

I remember what struggling was like. I thought I’d NEVER make a dime because I just kept trying and trying and nothing was happening. Then, I met Tellman and my life is very, very different from what it was like two years ago.

I remember last year at this time, too. I was doing some consulting for Overcome Everything and ran into a cool guy named Don Griffiths. I’m doing a deal with him next week, so keep your eyes peeled for that. He’s a smart guy and he’s made tons and tons of progress since last year. Why? Because he took ACTION and now his list is exploding!

That’s the word, you know–A-C-T-I-O-N.

If you buy a bunch of stuff and don’t read it, listen to it, or watch it, or if you do and just don’t do anything about it, what’s your deal? I mean, are you going to be successful at this?

Hell, no. You’ll never be successful at anything. You can’t win if you’re not even in the game!

Take action to make it happen. If you want some periodic ass kicking, then just sign up for my list. :-)   I totally want to work with you.

So, I’m off! Get your stuff in gear and you’ll come to see how much fun it is to make money in your jammies.

I love it! You will, too.

Aug 14

So, I could go into my Uncle Sal routine… My name’s Marcello, after all.

But I won’t. I’ll leave that to Sal.

What I can tell you is that I understand how the recession is affecting all of us. It sucks!

I can’t tell you how I feel when I hear them say, “Gas is only $3.73 a gallon!” And… what’s your point, right? Higher gas, higher food, and we’ve been watching it come at us, while the current administration kept saying that there was nothing wrong.

Yeah, right. Any idiot could see that things were declining. Hmm… Maybe that explains a lot, eh?

But I live in Florida. I can’t sell my house because it’s not worth the mortgage anymore. It’s lost 2/3 of its value. Luckily, I like where I am and can ride it out, but how many can’t?

How many of you are facing foreclosure because gas is eating your mortgage payment, but you can’t drive less because you need to get to a job that still doesn’t pay the bills?

Sucks.

I’m no different.

I’m trying to make a living online, and have been luckier than most.

And trust me, if I can conquer Internet Marketing, so can you. Want to know how?

Tellman, Shawn Casey, and Harris Fellman have come up with the answer. Totally. I’m on the inside. I know what the product is about. IT WILL WORK FOR YOU!

WHACK THE RECESSION!!!

Don’t take any more shit.

Whack that recession in the cajones and get back to a normal life.

You can do it!

http://easyseotricks.com/whack

Go now and check things out.

Aug 11

Vacation is great, but payback, well… you know what they say.

So, we’re doing another launch at OE, which is always fun, but you know how launches go. Frantic city. So, a little of that, and…

Tonight, a Q&A call with my list and anyone who wants to be on my list. Show up at this link for now http://instantTeleseminar.com/?eventid=3865080 , but get on board for news of the next one and replays. I don’t usually post links in my blog. I just rushed this one out so fast that I want to be sure everyone knows.

Then, tomorrow will be totally cool. I’m having “The Faster Webmaster,” Erik Stafford on a call with me. Erik has a really great site, where he lays out everything about getting an Internet Marketing business up and running in exquisite, highly-organized detail. If you’re just learning the IM stuff, you need to hear Erik’s call.

Register at http://Blogging4Boomers.com and I’ll send you all the information. It’s going to be great! Plus, Erik has a very cool surprise that he’s giving away. It’s totally worth the effort.

Next week, we’re turning the tables and Erik is interviewing me.  More details on that to follow, but it will be information packed, just as always. I think I’m a teacher at heart. Always loved the role. I actually taught writing for children for more than 5 years, so I guess it’s my thang. I love helping folks figure things out.

So, that’s it. Busy, busy couple of week. Stay tuned for more info.

And Thursday, Ayyyyyyyyyyyy… It’s Big Sal, the Tell, and Shawn. Should be interesting, eh? Wonder what’s up their muscle-Ts.

Will somebody please get Tellman out of that trunk? I’m concerned. :-)

Jul 30

So, do you schedule in time every day to learn something new? I mean, actually put it on your calendar and then, do it? I hope you are.

I learned this (and most everything else having to do with online biz) from Tellman. One of our requirements of employment with Overcome Everything is that we spend at least 20% of our time learning. He asks us regularly to send him plans for further education, and I think that’s really awesome! I can’t tell you how much I’ve learned in the last two years.

Before I started working for Tellman, though, I always tried to learn new things, but the day just became filled with “to-dos.” You know. There were always fires to put out, stuff that had to be written, and on and on. Working online is a full-time proposition when you’re starting out. And though I learned stuff by reading books and hanging in forums, it was hit or miss, you know? Some days I learned a lot and other days, nada.

Making learning part of your daily schedule makes it as important as anything else you do online, and I totally thank Tellman for getting me to see that. He, of course, wants us to know more and more so that we can make the company stronger and stronger. Makes a real impact. Our team is getting stronger every day, and I know it shows.

So, if you’re not learning, get with it! Otherwise, your business won’t grow. You won’t be up to date in technique. You won’t be able to move forward. No matter how much time you have to do business each day, take some part of that day, even if it’s only 15 minutes and learn something new.

You’ll be so happy you did.

And for that, you can thank Tellman. :-)

Jul 23

Yes, I’ve written a few press releases in my day. I’ve published a few, too, back in my editor days, but I love what they can do for your business in terms of getting traffic. If you haven’t written one, they aren’t terribly difficult, either.

First and foremost, you need a good hook.

That’s exactly like a headline. So, if you’re good at writing headlines, you have half the battle nailed.

I like to tie my headlines in to something that people might currently be searching for. So, I cruise the headlines in the news. Of course, you have to tie your headline to the body of the press release or it won’t work.

I go to places like Google News and Excite or Yahoo to find the choice headlines, and the trick is to find something people are searching for. Right now, it could be Obama, Batman, or there’s always the fuel crisis.

Just be very careful how you do it or the release won’t be approved. If you can work a legitimate tie-in, though, you’ll be cool. Like, if you’re talking about Batman, you’d better have a gothic product or something superhero-like. I think that would be kind of hard.

Last year, when we were launching The ListBuilding Club, I did one for Tellman that said he was opening the club with more tricks than Harry Potter, which was out at the time, and then went on to say that Tellman’s not a magician, but he has more marketing tricks than a tutor at Hogwart’s. All worked out, you see?

Anyway, that’s my tip for the day. Have fun coming up with cool ways to get people interested. They may not even know that they want to know about your cool news, but well… when they get there, they just might be highly interested, eh? Get as many people reading your releases as you can.

Jun 27

So… This morning I wake up. It’s my birthday! And so, I’m like, happy about it, but not like a kid, you know? When you’ve had as many birthdays as I have, it just seems like another day.

I call in to the manager’s meeting that we have every morning at Overcome Everything, and I’m waiting to tell Tellman what’s on our team’s plate for the day.

Then, my husband pokes his head in to say, “There’s a police officer here to talk to you.”

I’m like, “What about?” He just shrugs and looks worried. Here, I’m thinking it’s donation time again.

So, I walk into the living room, and there’s a guy in his mid- to late thirties, probably, in a uniform. He says, “Are you the owner of a 2008 black CTS with the license number XXX-XXX?”

“Yes. What’s this about? Would you like to sit down?” I ask him.

“No, that’s OK… I was up late last night and I should just keep standing.” Now, I can smell the alcohol on his breath, and I’m thinking, Wow! He’s probably hungover. What the hell?

So, he says, “Were you driving in Creekwood Shopping Center on Wednesday?”

“I guess,” I said. There’s a Starbuck’s in there and other stuff we’re always going to, so I figured I could have been, but couldn’t quite remember.

So he turns the page, and says that they had a complaint from the Sheriff’s aunt. She was driving a yellow VW and said that I cut her off and forced her into the grass.

Now, I’ll show you how dumb a person can be:

1) The guy was wearing a wrinkled shirt with his undershirt hanging out at the sleeves and neckline. My dad was a cop. He was always starched and pressed (’course that was the olden days, but…) with shoes shining so clearly that I could see my face in them.

2) This part of Bradenton is really unincorporated Manatee County. Bradenton Police don’t really have jurisdiction.

3) That shopping center has no grass to be driven into.

But I’m not thinking, right? I’m just like, “Well, that’s totally wrong. First, I wouldn’t do that and second, I never did that.”

So he says, “Well, if you can’t own up to this, I have to take you downtown.”

Now, I’m totally furious. It’s my birthday and I have to go to downtown Bradenton in a police car so that my neighbors could watch me walk out in handcuffs, to totally ruin my day. I mean, these folks get upset when a blade of grass isn’t standing at attention. This would be bad.

Not only that, but he tells me he has to frisk me to get up against the wall!

As he’s telling me to put my arm behind my back to be cuffed, a thought goes through my head…

TELLMAN

Big bright lights go off in my brain and it finally takes over and starts working. This is no cop!

I was PUNKED.

It was totally hilarious, after the fact, and when I got back on the phone we all had a good laugh over it. Tellman really made my day. It started out hilarious and just keeps getting better.

But do you see how you can miss the details of things when you let your emotions get over on you? I wasn’t thinking logically because I was so totally humiliated by the allegations and really angry because there was nothing I could do, though I knew I was innocent. The anger just infused my brain and made me stupid.

Duh.

Don’t let your emotions rule you. Don’t take failure personally. Don’t let it get you down.

Just remember that with every failed project, you’re a winner. You know what NOT to do again. Just consider whatever didn’t turn out the way you’d hoped as a learning experience and move on. Next time, it will be easier and work better.

Christine Comaford-Lynch has a great philosophy about accepting rejection, and I wont’ go into it because this post is really long, but you should check out Rules for Renegades at RulesforRenegades.com and go to the “Cool Resources” section.

But first…

I had a totally awesome day. And because it’s my birthday and I’ve been laughing and doing stuff I love to do all day, I thought I’d let you in on something totally free and totally cool.

Go to http://easyseotricks.com/IMG2

Get some cool free stuff to help you continue down your ultimate path to success. I have a really good ebook in there about keyword research. Go get it. Free.

And… ALWAYS remember to pay attention to the details, or you could get punk’d. :-)

If you’ve read my blog before, you know I work with the uncrowned King of List Building, Tellman Knudson.

I started working for him 2 years ago, and then, I had about 200 people on my list. I thought that was respectable. LOL What a dunce!

So, Tellman suggested I start list building by using co-registration. If you don’t know what that is, co-registration is a way for you to advertise your ezine, newsletter, special report, or whatever with a group of other ads. The co-registration service does all of the advertising for you, and you’re guaranteed a certain number of names and email addresses each month.

This is NOT the same as buying a list. Never do that because it’s illegal. You only want people on your list that ask to be there by opting in.

Even with co-registration, it’s a double opt-in process. Someone sees your newsletter ad, checks a box saying that they want to receive your information and he or she confirms the email address, as well. They want to be on your list. See the difference? Anyway, my favorite co-reg service is List Builder Pro. You should check it out, if your list is small.

What’s a respectable size? Well, you can’t do much with the big names, unless you’re talking 10,000 names or more. It takes awhile, unless you’re good at joint ventures, which are hard to set up, if you have no list, right?

Anyway, after two years of list building heavily (It should be your main focus.), I’m seeing the results.

I respect and honor the people on my list. I’ve been bringing speakers to them for my Blogging4Boomers teleseminar series, and directing them to some cool free stuff that will help them to move their businesses forward. I also do Q&A sessions twice a month. And I send them offers, but only for products I know are good.

Tellman was right.

Tellman is right.

If you’re not list building, you’re missing the boat. I just got a nice check in the mail today and that happens a regularly these days. Pretty sweet. Want yours?

Always be list building! Always.

No, I’m not that conceited. I know I’m good, but hey… Wonderful?

Well, Wonderful Web Women thinks I am, which is totally cool. I get to be among some of the top women online today and talk about being honored! Janet Beckers invited me way back when I was just starting Blogging4Boomers. Wait… That was only February! It seems like for.ever in Web time, eh?

Anyway, this Monday night, I’ll be joining Janet’s line up of truly wonderful women like Rosalind Gardner, Lorrie Morgan Ferrero, Heather Vale, Stephanie Mulac, and so many others that I can’t begin to tell you how happy I am to be joining them.

Women are totally wonderful, of course, and I’m a child of the ’60s, women’s rights and all that. Plus, I wrote a book about Gloria Steinem, though many Internet folks don’t know it. Yep. Gloria is awesome. She called me a couple of times saying, “It’s me… Your cross to bear,” which I thought was totally hilarious.

Imagine her talking about being my cross, when it was all I could do to remain firmly planted on the floor and not in the air when we spoke. I mean, little-known writer gets to interview icon of tremendous stature. But she treated me as though I was no different. I really respected and appreciated that.

That’s a key, though. You never ACT as though someone else is that much higher in stature. I’m a big fan of Christine Comaford Lynch, who I just spoke with the other day. That’s her philosophy, and it was my mom & dad’s. “They put their shoes on in the morning, just like you do,” they would always tell me, and it’s true.

Anyway, back to Gloria…

I think she’s the kindest person I’ve ever met. I mean, lots of us are kind, sure. We do things for other people and all, but this woman dedicated her life to being kind to women. She traveled constantly during the 70’s and virtually gave her life to the cause. I admire her a lot, as a person. She rocks! And she couldn’t have been more helpful when I was working on her book.

But that’s why I’m totally stoked about being a Wonderful Web Woman. I love to help people, and in this business, it’s soooo important. If you get a opportunity to help anyone, take it. Do it. Give, give, and give some more. Don’t be this greedy salesperson just looking to make a buck. You’ll never make it.

I started working for Tellman and wasn’t even paid, at first. I was on his Black Diamond Line Inner Circle coaching program that cost like $500 a month. The first day I got on the call, I was blown away by the information he was giving us. But at the end, he asked for “Traffic Apprentice” applications. He wanted people to learn to drive traffic, and well… Who could resist? I put an application in, never thinking I’d get the position, but I did. And can I tell you that I was still paying the $500 and working with him, and it was worth WAY more than I can begin to explain. It led to a really great job and more learning than I can handle at times, right? I mean, I’m light years ahead of where I was almost two years ago.

So, it’s like the Law of Attraction in action. When you want something, you go after it in every way. You think about it. You work toward it, and you help other people any time you can.

“You get back what you give three times,” my husband’s grandmother always used to say, and I never forgot it.

If you have a list, let me know how I can help you. If you don’t, let me help you to get one started.

Want to know how?

Go to Blogging4Boomers.com/forum and sign up for my forum. We can talk about blogging, Internet marketing or just hang out. I’m interested in you and want you to be successful. Let’s kick some IM butt!

Kind of scary, that headline. But no… It’s a good tired and excited, so get your minds right. :-)

Pat has been so quiet for the last couple of weeks because like everyone at Overcome Everything, I’m working my butt off. We’ve been doing Squeezathons, making reports, newsletters, videos, CDs and tons and tons of stuff for the launch of Listbuilding.com tomorrow.

I can’t believe the day has almost arrived!

I remember Tellman talking about it in early February and thinking, well… we have LOTS of time.

But time goes quickly. I’m excited about the whole thing, not because the company stands to make a bunch of money (and that’s always a good thing), but because I know how many people’s lives have been touched by the whole thing. I mean now, more than 300 people have squeeze pages up and running that never did before. That’s a BIG squeeze, eh?

I feel pretty good to know that I had some part in that, but we’ve all been working hard. We’re an incredible team of hard-working people and it’s actually ready to happen! Everyone involved is running like monkeys to get things in order before the big day.

And have you seen the list of teachers for the coaching classes? Holy cow! It’s a who’s who of marketing. All my heroes in one course. wow.

Shawn & Tellman totally went all out on that one. There will be stuff in the course that just can’t be had anywhere else. You need to be on the calls. You need to soak up every bit of this that you can, especially if you’re new to Internet marketing. If you haven’t yet…

WTHeck are you waiting for?

Here’s the deal: http://PatMarcello.ListBuilding.com

Man, this is one of the biggest things in Internet Marketing history!

I feel very blessed to have been part of helping so many people. That’s totally cool.
